Robin was so knowledgeable about the entire Hunter Douglas product line and quickly helped me decide which blinds were best suited for each window or door. She also guided me with color choices, which all blend beautifully in my home. AWF has a team of professionals who installed the blinds, and I truly love how they look and function.

Austin Window Fashions has been a pleasure to work with in all regards. I was able to visit a showroom in San Antonio where I lived at the time to make preliminary selections and still work with Kindal Mitchell out of the Austin office. The young lady in San Antonio gave freely of her time and was very personable and professional. I was very impressed that there wasn’t any concern over who was doing what and who would earn commission. The attitude was “we all work together”. Kindal set up an appointment with me for the following Monday at my new home in the final stages of construction. She showed up on time with sample books and all of my information from my San Antonio showroom visit in hand. She went through every room in which I wanted to install shades with me and made suggestions as to where I might want to consider using shades, such as on high windows in a master closet to prevent clothes from fading, something I never would have thought of. Then she proceeded to measure every window in the house (and there are many!) just in case at some later date I might want to add shades to those windows.
Kindal was excellent at helping me decide on color, fabric, and design. She was able to guide me in the right direction and affirm my instinct without projecting her own personal taste. I have found that it is sometimes difficult to find someone in interior design work who will work with you and your tastes in decor for your own home! Kindal is definitely professional and sensitive in that regard. She was also just a delight to work with. She was just as excited about my selections as I was!
I could not be more pleased with the final result. The fabric and style of shades are absolutely perfect for the craftsman style of our home. Jason (I believe I have his name correct) was my installer and was the most pleasant person to work with. He, too, was on time, a little early actually, and was personable and professional.
Kindal followed up after the installation to see how I liked the shades. And when I had some problems with a few of the shades she was quick to have someone scheduled to come back to the house for adjustments. Adjustments were successfully made on 2 of the shades. The third shade will need to be sent in to have checked out, but the gentleman who did the adjustments was considerate in asking if I wanted to wait until after the holidays in case I had guests coming. How great is that?! The company is willing to come out an additional time (an hour’s drive) to make it more convenient for me!
I highly recommend Kindal and Austin Window Fashions. I believe the price was reasonable for the quality of product and service I have received. On top of that, I was given a Hunter Douglas rebate form (which Kindal was happy to explain in detail to me) which will give me $650 for my 13 shades.

I wanted to take the opportunity to express my absolute satisfaction with not only my custom wood plantation shutters but also with Tara Kulvicki and Ray. We had this type of shutters in our home in San Antonio and wanted them in our new home in Brenham. When I called Austin Window Fashions, Tara answered my call and did not hesitate to make an appointment to meet me in Brenham to measure the windows (house was still under construction) and show me the different options in shutters. We received bids from four different companies to have plantation shutters installed in our house; however, your Sales Representative was by far the most efficient and knowledgeable person I dealt with. She clearly understood our needs and was even early for the appointment. Actually, she beat me to the house.
She then carefully measured each window and reviewed the entire process with me, from explaining the difference between wood and poly wood shutters, to ordering, to financing, to color selection and finally the installation process. I was so glad to find a store where I could actually see the Hunter Douglas products. I looked online specifically for Hunter Douglas products available from a local showroom.
