Here is another great example of casement windows seamlessly fitted with plantation shutters- even in arched windows.
This house had beautiful windows finished out with wood trim around the openings. The breakfast table room even has arched windows. When adding plantation shutters to a window that has an existing casement, we use an L-Frame application.
This frame style is installed in a range of conditions; from partially to fully recessed within a wood cased area, to completely surface mounted on a window with no recess or a door. There are many variations of this frame style to deal with virtually all non-sheetrock applications.
“I thought it was a great example of our inside mounted L-frame, in their existing framing. We used a 4 ¼” louver with the Horizon side tilt and custom matched their trim for a seamless look. It’s hard to tell where our shutter ends and their trim starts. The homeowners favorite part was how well she can see the back yard when they are open.” said the Design Consultant Mary Hudson.
